Swept by the Mets
The Tigers were swept today by the Mets. They lost game 1 and 2 of this series in extra innings. Both games were won by Mike Cameron of the Mets. He hit the game winning homer in game 1 and in game 2 he hit the game winning RBI single. They lost today 6-1.
The Tigers must getting their hitting back. Their pitching has been great but their hitting hasn't been as good as it was earlier in the season. If they can finally start winning again they should be fine.

Tigers take Justin Verlander
With the second pick overall in the MLB draft, the Tigers selected Justin Verlander. He is a pitcher who is 6-4 180lbs and can throw the heat. He is supposed to have a lot of good stuff. Hopefully this guy isn't a washout just like the rest of the pitchers they have selected in past years.

6/2 Thoughts
Ivan "Pudge" Rodriguez is leading all American League catchers in votes for the allstar game. He is having a very good season with 40 RBIs. He is also hitting around 330.
Dmitri Young came back from his early season injury 2 games ago.
The Tigers lost a tough game yesterday. In the 9th inning the score was tied 3-3 when Kansas City scored 2 runs to close out the game.
Two games ago the Tigers finally won a game after losing 7/8 games. They hit 5 homeruns, including 2 from Eric Munson(5,6) and 2 from Carlos Guillen. One of Guillen's homers was an inside the park. Dmitri Young played his first game since his injury and went 2-4 with a run scored.
