5/17 Notes

The Tigers didn't play today so I want to talk about their improving pitching staff. In the last 7 games the Tigers have allowed only 19 runs. In that span they won 4 games and lost 3. They were scoring a lot of runs earlier in the season but they weren't pitching good. Now that it looks like they are starting to pitch better, their hitting needs to pick it up a bit if they want to get over 500 and stay there. The Tigers start a road series tomorrow with the Oakland A's. Bonderman(3-2) goes up against Rich Harden(2-2) in tomorrow's game at 10:05 p.m. eastern time.

Comments:
I don't live in Michigan and can't see the Tigers' staff pitch on a regular basis. Between Bonderman, Maroth, Cornejo, and Robertson, which one is the future ace of the staff in your opinion?

I think that Maroth or Robertson will be the future ace. Maroth is already 4-1 this season and Robertson has 50 strikouts on the season. Bonderman could be the ace but I think those 2 will be better. As for Conejo, well he has had a few years to prove himself and not much good has come out of him yet.
